Monthly Archives: April 2013

My guest this week is Ed Drewitt, Naturalist and Broadcaster.  Ed is an expert (amongst many other things!) on birdsong.   He’ll be telling us what the difference is between a birdcall and birdsong, and how to begin to identify individual birds in our gardens.  If you want to listen to different birds songs, you can hear them courtesy of the RSPB, who have an information-packed site helping people to identify birds.  And I’ll also be introducing the latest member of the Silversound team, Kim Fielding, who will be in the studio to talk about a new charity single she’s been involved in.  The single is called See Yourself, and all the proceeds will be donated to Contact the Elderly, a wonderful charity helping to combat loneliness in the elderly by organising monthly tea parties (see links below).   It only costs 69p to download, so spread the word!
