On my Silversound show Friday Nov 1st 10am are David Smallcombe CEO of Care & Support West and Judith Brown of Bristol Old People’s Forum who will be asking him tough questions about Care Homes and Domiciliary Care

Just about to leave home to go the studios to join up with three other members of the Silversound team, Kim, George and Sarah, who will all be joining me on the show!  I will be doing our first Silversound quiz, and also talking to Lucienne Boyce about the Meet The Historians event at the M Shed tomorrow.

On David’s show on 11th will be Andrew Clark head coach at CrossFitAvon.

I will be discussing and playing excerpts from my recent personal training
session with him. And I just don’t go to the gym.

My guest this Friday is Roy Hackett, President of the West Indian Association, and leading light in Bristol community life for the last 50 years.  He talks to me about his early life in Jamaica, and the somewhat mixed reception he received when he got to England.  The tale he tells (he’s going to turn it into a book one day),  is one of determination, courage, sheer hard work, and political passion.   I hope that Roy likes the music I’ve chosen for the programme – it includes one of his favourite tracks, by Harry Belafonte!
